At The Englefield Green Team, our partnership with the community hub has been sprouting something truly special. Together, we've been nurturing a variety of fresh, vibrant food, everything from crisp greens to juicy tomatoes, that not only feeds the body but also strengthens the roots of our community. We're passionate about more than just planting seeds; we’re championing the Right To Grow act with the council, pushing for more spaces where everyone can cultivate their own patch of joy and sustenance. Because let’s face it, there’s no better medicine than digging in the dirt and watching life bloom.
Looking ahead, we have exciting plans to expand our green footprint, with several new sites planned across the village. Imagine more pockets of paradise popping up, bubbling with life and community spirit! We’re also hopeful about securing some much-needed storage space in St Jude’s Cemetery grounds, which would be a brilliant spot to keep our tools and supplies safe and sound. It’s all growing, bit by bit, from a simple idea into a flourishing movement—proof that big things really do have small beginnings.
