Cutting back the wildflowers on the Green

It's that time of year again, when the flowers have bloomed and the days are getting shorter. Against the odds, the wildflowers on the Green have (mostly) survived the hot summer, and to help them thrive next year (and look tidy during the winter) we need to cut them back.

Can you help? We'll provide secateurs, gloves and coffee. We're a friendly bunch, and whether you're a student or a local, whatever your age or ability, you'd be very welcome.

Date: Sunday October 4, 10-12 am.

Location: Meet near the Barley Mow pub, wearing sturdy shoes and waterproofs if wet.
